In response to the tightened government measures against the spread of the coronavirus on March 23, the Dutch bishops have taken additional measures. All public liturgical celebrations, including those in small circles during the week, are canceled for the entire Easter period, up to and including Pentecost (on May 31). Also all public gatherings are canceled or postponed until further notice.
Churches can remain open to individual visitors who come for prayer or to light a candle and / or bring a gift to the food bank.
